Universal Serial Bus ( USB )

USB flash drive or any other flash memory drive is basically an EEPROM that means "Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory".

USB flash memory sticks are nothing but an assembly of EEPROM, a controller with a RISC microprocessor, RAM and ROM. All of this interacts with a computer using a USB controller and connector.

Because USB sticks are EEPROM these can hold data for as long as 10 years. As these memory modules are shock proof and as these don't have a volatile memory are good enough to sustain shock and humidity to some extend that is casual abuse that includes run through a washing machine, or even dropped in coffee.

UBS thumb drives normally don't require drivers but with few old operating systems like Windows 98 and Windows 95 you need drivers that are provided by the manufacturer. Latest OS consider USB drives as USB Mass storage devices and have built in support for these drives that means you don't need any drivers just plug in the drive and start using it.

Some Linux versions might recognize it but won't let you use it until you manually mount the drive. To mount to drive manually use the command

"mount -vfat  (drive to mount)  (directory to mount at)"
Eg. "mount  -vfat  /dev/sda1  /mnt/usbdrive"

Manufacturers are also coming up with systems that have bios support for USB that means you can boot from the small USB drive. There are different versions of operating systems coming up that can be installed on a ROM and are so small to fit a USB drive as well. Most of these OS versions are Linux based for example Damm Small Linux.

USB drives are mainly used to carry personnel data. But you need to be very careful with your personnel data now days. You can have anything in your personnel data collection that you have forgotten for example bank account details or anything. Try using some encryption engine to secure your data. You can use encrypted file system over the USB drive but then you will be able to access your drive only at few computers not all. Or you can have a encryption application that can run without installation from your USB. The best would be to use biometric USB drives.

Securing files through online

If you are tired of using CDs or floppies to store your files, than you will want to consider online backup. Online backup is easy to use and to understand. Once you see how well your online backup program will work, you will never rely on floppies again.

With online backup, you can choose between full backups and incremental backups, which will gradually store your files. These programs will allow you to pick and choose which files you want to backup and you can also save different versions of the same files. To conserve space on your online backup program, you can choose compression levels; the highest levels will save your files in their smallest form and will give your more space to store many more files.

An important feature in online backup is security. A good online backup program will offer encryption, which will make it impossible for outsiders to read your documents. This coding, however, does not make it more difficult for your to retrieve your documents from online backup; only interlopers are prevented from accessing your files.

With online backup programs, you can backup your files automatically or schedule backups. You might want to schedule these backups for times when you are not using the computer, since excessive activity usually slows down a computer. For computer users who are concerned about how online backup
will affect their bandwith, space-saving technology is one way to preserve bandwith and to store documents more efficiently. In addition to compressing files, many online backup programs only transfer altered portions of a file to save space. You can select which files you want to backup quickly and easily using drag and drop features.

If you are looking for online backup for a large business, you can find programs using API technology. This technology is designed to handle larger amounts of information and have heightened security features which make the files absolutely impenetrable. Of course, more sophisticated online backup costs more money, but given the importance of preserving files and keeping them secure, it is worth the investment, especially for growing businesses.

The kind of online backup program you choose depends very much on the size of the files you want to backup and your priorities.

If the software finds any bugs or errors, these errors and bugs are fixed and removed immediately before they can cause problems. Not only does this keep your PC performing like new, it can save you a great deal of money because hidden errors are responsible for major computer glitches that often require professional tech help.

Hidden errors occur when a program or application starts to run improperly due to lost operating files or holes in the way that data is stored. This happens when you add programs and delete programs. Hidden errors can also occur when you download hidden and harmful software like spyware and adware.

Some of the symptoms associates with hidden errors can include slow responses to your commands, program glitches, pop-up error screens, loss of data and system crashes.

Instead of letting these problems add up until they become annoying, unbearable or result in a total system failure, Dr. Software helps to eliminate any trouble that you may experience from hidden errors. This software fixes errors that cause problems, fixes corrupt files, prevents hidden files from causing harm, and helps you avoid formatting and rebooting errors without you having to think about it.

The Growth technology Of Universal Serial Bus

Since the mid-90s we have seen the birth and growth of technology called Universal Serial Bus ( USB ).  Originally designed to connect computers and telecommunications equipment, slowly became the primary means of connecting a whole host of other devices and has contributed significantly to the IT world.

Number of USB products on the market, from mice and keyboards, modems, external hard drives to USB fans, lights and heated coffee mug!  Most prangkat an external computer connected to the computer via the USB port.
In general, there are four types of USB you can add to your PC to facilitate the use of an external device to your PC :
1. Internal USB PCI Card
An internal PCI USB Card needs to be installed by opening up the case of your PC and inserting a card into a vacant PCI slot on the motherboard, this type of USB expansion is not advised unless you are familiar with working with and inside computers. If you have the older USB1.1 and upgrade to USB2.0, your version of Windows will also need to be updated so that your PC can support USB2.0 functionality.

2. USB Hub (Non Powered)

An external non-powered USB Hub is a cheap and simple device that plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports and that's all there is to it. These are usually very compact and so make ideal solutions for mobile users with laptops and for desktop users.
Be aware that some USB devices require a small amount of power through the USB port, usually mechanical devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras and so on. This type of USB Hub may not be able to supply adequate power to these devices especially if you are using a few USB devices together.

3. Powered USB Hub

An external Powered USB Hub is also compact and plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports, so again there is no need to open up your computer to install it. The only difference is that the Powered Hub comes with a separate power supply that must be plugged into the mains socket, supplying the power to all the USB ports on the hub allowing ANY type of USB devices to function properly.

Most Powered Hubs come with a sensible length of USB cable allowing the Hub itself to be positioned in a more accessible place e.g. on top of your computer or on your desk, making plugging and unplugging USB devices much easier. This makes the Powered Hub the all round best solution for desktop computer users.

4. USB PC Card
If you use a Laptop and are on the move, you have an additional choice to the USB Hub, the USB PC Card also known as the PCMCIA USB Card. This device slots into the PCMCIA slot/port found on the side of a Laptop and instantly provides two extra USB ports without using up any of your existing USB ports on the Laptop.
This is the most popular solution for mobile Laptop users. When buying a suitable external USB Hub, consider the location of your computer's USB ports. If they are located at the back of your computer or in an awkward position, you can make your life so much easier by using a USB Hub that comes with a USB extension cable, or by buying a separate USB extension cable. This allows the USB Hub to be positioned to a more accessible place for plugging and unplugging your USB devices.

PROGRAMMING AND LIFE CYCLE SOFTWARE

Introduction
The software is an integral part of current computer systems.  The development of current computer technology be sure to include the development of software. Development of software development experience significant progress since 6 last decade: starting from just give into the binary instructions a computer system is simple,
manufacture of low-level programming language, intermediate level until a high level.  In addition, because of the increasing complexity the need for a computer as a tool for  computing, software development also has spawned the concepts programming, ranging from simple programming concept (only write the lines of the program that runs from the beginning to end of the program), manufacturing procedures, to the object-oriented programming. An object-oriented programming concepts a relatively new programming, where the programming is directed to paradigm of the formation of objects that interact with each other.  In addition the concept is more easily digested by the programmer, both lay though, the concept of object oriented programming easier maintenance software so that software becomes more flexible when will be revised or developed.

Programming
Definition
Programming is a process of "planting" instruction to in the computer such that in operation, The computer will refer to the instruction given. Programming process will produce a product that called a "program".  Different programs will cause computer gives different results for an input same.  For example, let's say we have 2 pieces of Java programs as follows:
a.  Addition class, which is a program that will add 2 pieces of input provided to him, and print to the screen.
b.  Multiplication class, which is a program that will multiply two input fruit given to him, and printing it to monitor screen. For example we enter 2 pieces of input pairs {1, 5} to in each program.
1.2.2 Programming Languages
Instructions given to the computer basically Another is a form of binary code, namely a series of binary codes (Which consists of the numbers "0" and "1") that can "Understood" by computers.  Binary instructions that can be "understood" by computer is the instruction that has a relation with operation
elementary that can be done by computer, for example operating "Save 1 byte to a specific address in memory", "play hard", and so forth.  Each computer has a code operating on a particular binary.
In the early development of computer systems, programmers ( programmer), computer programming in a way entering binary values into computer memory.  Values binary included illustrates the algorithm of operation should be done by computer.  This method has several difficulties, among others:
a.  Before entering the correct binary code, programmers need to check the mapping code
binary with the desired computer operation.
b.  When an error occurs, the programmer must do the work extra form of checking the wrong code and pemetaanulang the relationship between binary code with the operating computer. Along with the growing development of computer architecture and the increasing number of computer operations can be performed, planting methods of instruction by using the binary code starting perceived not practical, because it is difficult to translate into the language human.  Therefore, a device that can be made converting instructions from the instruction that can be understood by the language humans into instructions understood by the machine / computer. For example:
a.  Instructions are understandable by humans: "b = 1 4;"
b.Instruksi understood by computer: "... 1001101010101011100..." From here began the term "software" which basically is one device that acts as a regulator of execution operations on the computer. Software that is made to date written use "programming language".  Programming language can defined as a set of instruction patterns that can be understood by humans, who used to write programs / application / software to produce a specific operation on computer.
1.2.3 Level Programming Language
Definition of "language that can be understood by humans" actually a relative sense.  For programmerprogrammer binary code, the bar code "1001100101011....."  probably understandable.  But for programmers who are familiar with mnemonic, lines of code such as "MOV A, # 25" can still
understood.  And for Java programmers, such as lines of code "String s = new String (" Hello World ");" is more understandable than binary or mnemonic. Here comes the ranking (leveling) language programming.  Lower programming language is language "tends to be understood by computers."  Hereas higher language is a language which "tend to be more understood by humans ". There are several levels of language programming, among others:
a.  Low-level language (the low-level language), eg machine language (binary), and assembler
b.  Intermediate language (medium-level language), for example the language C / C, Fortran.
c.  High-level language (high-level language), such as language Pascal.
d.  Higher level language (higher-level language), eg language Java, DotNet. Characteristic of the lower level language is user ability to manipulate operations on the hardware level ( for example, fill, edit, and delete data in memory and registers) is higher.  While the language level more high, the ability of users to manipulate the operation level lower hardware.  Even at the higher-level languages such as Java,
user really can not do the manipulation at the level of hardware directly, because operations on the hardware ( such as allocating memory, the erasing of data in memory) is done automatically by the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

Facebook social networking website to promote

Fertile ground to promote social networking website is because almost all social networks have a high page rank.  For those of you who want to promote the web and wanted to get back links to improve page rank social networking is the solution.  Of course backlinks obtained in one direction only.
One of the social networking that has a page rank highest is facebook and rank second after Google.  You can get backlinks from facebook by adding to your facebook profile web address or blog.  As I have done, you can see on my profile has been added to the address of the blog that I made " computers - inc.blogspot.com ".
You want him to do the same with me?
There are many other social networking and have a high page rank, you just create an account on every social networking and add your link.
Hopefully this information good for you and good luck.
